Conference Theme:
Empowering Modern Asian City Makers

The mAAN*Y Singapore 2010 Conference is the high point of this year’s Let’s not talk about architecture event. With the theme of “Empowering Asian City Makers”, this year’s conference will be help in Singapore from 1-4 August 2010 and hopes to empower architects and those involved in creating the modern Asian city with the inspiration and tools to make a difference in cities through architecture.

This announcement is a call for contributions in the following forms:

1. Papers discussing the issues that are in line with the conference theme and the following topics.

   1. New Media and the City: The New Frontier of an Open Architecture
   2. Bridging Institutions & Industry
   3. Built Heritage and the Growing City
   4. Capitalizing the Asian landscape: A Collaborative Future

2. Videos that explore or comment on issues that are in line with the conference theme and topics, for screening during the conference.

3. Posters showing exemplary built or unbuilt projects aligned with the conference theme and topics, for display during the conference.
