The Program Committee of the International TMCE 2012 Symposium invites you to submit extended abstracts that report on high quality research work and results in the domain of mobile and ubiquitous technologies for global product development and production processes. The deadline for the submission of extended abstract is 30th April, 2011. A good abstract summarizes the completed research work, the applied research methods and the results of the work, briefly describes the testing and validation of the results, summarizes the main conclusions, and outlines possible future research.

Information on the professional program

TMCE 2012 will offer a high standard professional program as well as a set of entertaining social functions.
TMCE 2012 intends to bring together product designers, product managers, product, process and environmental engineers, information and knowledge technology managers, engineering technology managers, quality and process engineers, engineering IT suppliers and vendors, academic researchers, technology transfer centers, engineering educators and industrial advisors. The Symposium will offer a high standard professional program, as well as a set of entertaining social functions.

The focus of the professional program will be on mobile and ubiquitous technologies for global product development and production processes. There will be multiple streams of industrial tutorials on Monday, 7th May 2012. The plenary opening session will be on Tuesday morning, 8th May, followed by two keynotes. There will be five parallel sessions for presentation of technical papers, forum talks and technical workshops on each afternoon from 8th to 10th May. Wednesday morning, 9th May, there will be four plenary keynote talks by internationally outstanding experts. There will be three plenary keynote talks on Thursday morning, 10 May, followed by a plenary panel discussion on the current status and future trends of designing and engineering with ubiquitous technologies. In the morning of the last day of the Symposium, there will be a panel discussion on the hot topics of sustainable artifact and service development.

Experience the traditions and high professional quality of the series of TMCE Symposia, together with many more participants from governments, academia, and industry. You are cordially invited to propose industrial tutorials, forum talks, technical workshops, and to submit technical papers. You will also have the opportunity for product demonstrations. Participation of students is encouraged and supported with reasonable discounts. A digital Proceedings will be published and the best papers will be republished in international journals. Efforts are being made to establish a Symposium-related open access journal, which is going to offer a new form of publication for survey, research and application papers.
