Prototyping is the shorthand of design! Industrial Design Center I Howest is organizing a 5 day hands-on training week for graduates and those about to graduate who have a passion for creation, co-creation and materialization of ideas.
When, what, who, where?
Program
° 1 week of intensive workshops, practice and a lot of fun!
° ‘learning by doing’ workshops in 3D printing, lasercutting, clay modeling, thermoforming, creativity techniques, varnishing techniques, slip casting, product photography and virtual prototyping.

° teamwork: realization of ideas into real product prototypes
Participants
Students and young professionals from several disciplines, including product design, industrial design engineering, mechanical design, architecture, applied arts, interaction design.
Factory
The Industrial Design Center in Kortrijk, Belgium is a fab lab (fabrication laboratory), fully equipped with traditional & manual and rapid & virtual prototyping tools such as a 3D printer, a vacuum casting set up, a 3D-measuring bench with optic laser scanner, thermoforming equipment, a laser cutter, a materials library, et cetera.
Practical
Entrance fee 150 euro (all courses, materials, temporary camping & breakfast, group transports are included). Location Industrial Design Center I Howest – Marksesteenweg 58, 8500 Kortrijk, Belgium
