The whole world is watching World Expo 2010, watching Shanghai, watching China. Just at the right place at the right time and with the right people, its subsidiary, Shanghai Design Biennial 2010 (SDB '10) will represent a prosperous and joyful design festival to the great design minds and Expo-interested guests all over the world.
 
Shanghai Centre for Scientific and Technological Exchange with Foreign Countries (SSTEC) are to launch The 5th SDB on 16-18 September 2010.
 
What SDB advocates is "Better Design, Better Life", catering to the Expo theme "Better Design, Better Life". Believing in the purity and simplicity of design, SDB will witness the triumph of World Expo 2010 through the eye of design and thus becomes a joint point with the Expo. All participants will display their philosophy and products in the international and high level platform by exchanging design concepts, sharing design experience, developing design market and thus creating design opportunities. Whilst taking part in SDB, they are at the same time involved in the Expo and having an opportunity to celebrate the creativity and innovation that is essential if they are all to achieve a better design, better city and better life.
