Inaugurated in 1999 by the APCI (Agency for the Promotion of Industrial Creation), the Design Observeur is an annual exhibition that aims to highlight and reward a selection of the best creations resulting from the collaboration between companies and designers.
Exhibition
Each year, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie" (Science and Industry Centre) welcomes the selections of the "Observeur" within the framework of a highly acclaimed public exhibition. The annual exhibition attracts a public of 200,000, representing 1/3 of all visitors to the Explora area.
France Design Innovation Pavilion in Taipei

The France Design Pavilion will combine an exhibition of products and Observeur du Design 12 Stars, enhanced with a programme of conferences and B2B meetings, and with the presence of a French delegation of companies, designers and design schools. The exhibition will take place at the Taiwan World Design Expo at Taipei World Trade Center during the 2011 IDA Congress.
Situated within the International Design Networking Area, the French Pavilion at Nangang will have a total exhibition area of 250m². The project, organised within specific modules, will highlight each participating design initiative. Individual presentations will be chosen by an Observeur du Design 12 Stars committee.
