2012 BDW topic is - FREEDOM SQUARED

- tailor made to achieve BDW's mission and vision of creating a society of knowledge in the South East European region of 100 million people between Vienna and Istanbul.

Again we are building bridges between the creative industries, business and government community, the global design scene and the local and regional impetus, presenting ideas and approaches of the greatest creative minds of the 21st century. We present global design superstars in the 3-days conference program to thousands of creative professionals and more than 150 accredited journalists who disseminate our message widest each year, this year carefully curated under the FREEDOM topic. Those leading global creatives, projects and brands, who have kindly donated their time and energy to speak to BDW's audiences, help us as ultimate trigger for motivating SEE's established and aspiring creatives, business people, students, governmental and cultural workers to sit down in the front row and learn about he latest creative developments first hand, a unique and truly global experience.  

CONFERENCE PROGRAM
    
The seventh FREEDOM SQUARED Belgrade Design Week festival will be held from 4th to 10th of June 2012.

BDW's hearth piece, the world famous international creative conference, will run for 3 days from June 7th to June 9th, and this year again will cover almost all areas of the creative industries. Prior to the conference hours a panel segment under the name FREEDOM PANELS is dedicated to social engineering, sustainable development and new ideas related to the strategic planning of our society.

Such complex conference program is divided into six sections differentiated by topic, starting with the three distinct days in the official conference program:
    
NARRATIVE OF FREEDOM

An incubator of global new progressive ideas in the field of communication design, with the kinds of M / M PARIS / FR, JUNG VON MATT / DE, FANTASTIC MAN / NL, NON FORMAT / NO, SLAVOJ ZIZEK / SI etc invited.
   
DESIGN OF FREEDOM

A promoter of innovation in the worldwide field of object and spatial design with the kinds of BOW WOW ATELIER / JP, MAD ARCHITECTS / CN, THOMAS FEICHTNER / AT, ROLF HAY / DK, FRONT / SE etc invited.
    
UNITED KINGDOM OF FREEDOM

BDW brings traditionally the brightest British names in design, architecture, publishing... This year THOMAS HEATERWICK, INDUSTRIAL FACILITY, ESTABLISHED AND SONS, NEVILLE BRODY, TROIKA, TOM DIXON etc are invited.
