. graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1951,
. worked for Arne Jacobsen between 1950-1952 and collaborated some of his well-known designs such as Ant chair,
. established his design and architectural office in 1955 in Switzerland.
. rebuild Komingen Inn for Baron Schilden Holsten in Denmark in 1958 and designed his famous Cone chair for the project,
. his S-Chair laminated wood chair produced by Thonet in 1955,
. designed “Panton”, the first single-form injection moulded plastic chair in 1960,
. moved to Basel for participating production process of Panton chair, the first injection-moulded single material and form chair,
. established a new office in Basel,
. the co-designer of “Visiona II” exhibition for Bayer AG with Joe Colombo and Olivier Mourgue in 1970, and created spacespace installations at the exhibitions,
. received A.I.D. award in 1963 and in 1968,
. designed textiles for Mira-X with geometric patterns between 1969-1985,
. during his carrier, developed designs for Thonet, Knoll International, Bayer, Lüber, Wega Radio etc.
