Zizi The Monkey, 1952
Zizi The Monkey was designed by Bruno Munari. It is a flexible toy made of expanded polyurethane foam with a twisted wire core and hand-painted face.
Originally designed in 1952, Zizi was awarded a Compasso D'Oro in 1954. Munari reproduced the monkey in 1997 and 2007.
Although originally designed to be played with, Zizi is not suitable for children under 8 years of age and is best treated as a design object rather than a toy.
