The Department of Art at the Florida State University invites applications for a visiting non-tenure track faculty position in digital media for the 2011-12 academic year. Position will be available in August 2011.
One year (nine-month) contract responsibilities include a teaching load of three studio courses each in the fall and spring terms and regular studio visits with the MFA students. An MFA in Studio Art or Design or related field with strong digital media skills such as 3D media skills, 3D prototyping and 3D modeling and computer programming are required. Foundations, 3D or Digital Media teaching experience a plus. Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, excellent communication skills, and the aptitude to contribute to a collaborative working environment. Interest or experience in interdisciplinary teaching and/or creative activity a definite plus.
