Leonard Cohen’s life and career as a visual artist, poet and musician will get the exhibition treatment at the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal.

“Leonard Cohen: Une Brèche en Toute Chose / A Crack in Everything” will open Nov. 9, about a year after his death, at the museum in Montreal, the city where Cohen was born. It is scheduled to be on view through April 9, 2018.

Organized by the curators John Zeppetelli and Victor Shiffman, the show will celebrate Cohen’s life and work — and the influence he has had on decades of artists — by inviting a roster of contributors for live performances and video installations commissioned by the museum.

Kara Blake, a filmmaker based in Montreal, will create “The Offerings,” a room-size video installation inspired by Cohen’s “inner thought processes and the profound workings of a great mind,” according to the museum.
