Design Culture is the study of the interrelationships between design artefacts, in all their manifestations, the work of designers, design production (including marketing, advertising and distribution) and their consumption. DesignCulture.info is primarily a resource for further study. It is not exhaustive. It just gives some ideas for how this subject can be developed.

Digital media, biotechnologies, sustainability, demographic trends, globalization, changing personal and political structures are all opening new challenges and possibilities for design.

There is unprecedented growth of the use of design throughout the world. At the same time, design practice is becoming increasingly demanding. The profession requires advanced, creative thinkers who can understand complex circumstances and propose innovative responses.
